Join us for a free, multi-generational, art-making community workshop! In this in-person, drop-in event, we'll be meeting at Pell Street & Doyers Street, New York, NY in Manhattan's Chinatown to create drawings and 3D models of our most loved Manhattan Chinatown structures.
While we walk around our neighborhood's streets and enter buildings on a daily basis, we often take them for granted. The goal of this workshop is to honor our Chinatown architecture and our forgotten spaces. Children and adults are invited to represent their favorite buildings using color, collage and craft materials. All materials will be provided and everyone is welcome -- no previous architecture or art experience required. This workshop is led by artist/architect Cheryl Wing-Zi Wong and is supported by The Laundromat Project.
