Pier 54, once a starting point for trans-Atlantic travel and more recently an entertainment/concert space, is now an entry to Little Island , a new park that is an initiative of Barry Diller of the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation, in partnership with Hudson River Park Trust. Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects (MNLA) collaborated with Heatherwick Studio to design Little Island (formerly Pier 55), a dramatic 2.4-acre public park in the Hudson River. "Conceived as a leaf floating in the water," according to MNLA, "the pier is a topographic marvel that celebrates views, defines landscaped spaces, and provides resilience against climate change.

Event information, including the meeting location, will be shared with attendees the week before the event.
