The Africa Center is a new museum and cultural institute in New York City. The 70,000 square foot space exists within a residential tower, designed by Robert A.M. Stern, sited at the complex intersection of Museum Mile, East Harlem, and Central Park. This full interior build-out project will occupy the spaces from the ground floor to the third floor. The design concept is motivated by a prompt to create a space that represents a dynamic contemporary African continent, and its future image.
